I am writing up my original housecleaning schedule and am going to try and start on that tomorrow. When I kept up with it, housekeeping was easy because it never got stacked up. I am going to make an effort again. I am tired of the house looking like crap and never knowing when to start. With my schedule everything has a day and a place, and everything gets done. Today is generally designated laundry day, which is fine with me becuase I'm still behind and need to get it caught up. I am getting there though, when the guy came to fix the washing machine on Wednesday, we put all the laundry in the bathroom and it was so full it was piled higher than Logan's head and we couldn't open or close the door. now it is much more reasonable looking, and I'm looking forward to it being all gone in th bathroom :). I need to do some serious vacuuming in here also, it's crumb city. After last night's disastrous and generally unenjoyable raid session on WoW, Mark and I are re-enacting our "no WoW until after the kids are in bed" rule. I think it's time, I especially have been way too into it lately and we had to remind ourselves that we play it for fun, when it becomes work or takes away from the kids, then we need to back off and re-evaluate. I did find myself logging in automatically this morning, but after checking auctions I logged right off, instead of looking for things to do that would have taken up part of my morning. I can do those things tonight with Mark after the kids are in bed. I have a ton of housework to catch up and it's high time to do it. anyway, I'm not getting anything done sitting here. I have several loads of laudnry to fold and put away and several more to do, and I have lots of vacuuming and dishes as well. I already have my roast in th oven and it's going to be yummy tonight and also keeps the kitchen warm during this chill. Tommorrow I am making vegetable beef stew with the leftovers. one thing that I have designated in my schedule is a day for baking and make-ahead foods. I'm imagining a freezer full of homemade noodles, pie crusts, and muffins and cookies available for snacks. I know I am capable of doing all those things, especially with many little pairs of hands to help, it will just take me setting aside some time to do it. okay, I'm going to turn my music back on and get going. I really want to get on top and keep on top of housework, a messy house is not nice to live in, especially when it's a small messy house with no where else to go. OH as a side note, we have one pumpkin almost ready to pick and the others look great! We'll see how they handle the cold moving in today. |
